What we collect, and what we do not.
This page covers SQLPro for Postgres and this website. SQLPro for Postgres is made by Hankinsoft Development, Inc., and these practices match the policy for our other database apps.
Application analytics
The apps collect anonymous usage data, such as feature usage and screen views, to help us understand which features are used and where to focus development. This data does not include query text, connection details or other personal information, and it can be turned off in the app's settings.
Website analytics
This website uses analytics to learn where visitors come from.
Crash logs
Crash logs and non-fatal error reports are provided by Bugsnag. A report can contain the app's current state, a stack trace, recent in-app events (such as menu actions and view changes), memory usage, and generic device details like the OS version and device type. Bugsnag may also receive your IP address as part of the network request. No personal information, query text or database connection details are sent.
Saved connections and passwords
On Mac and iOS, connection details are stored in the keychain, and iCloud Keychain is used so they are available on your devices. A password is only saved if you choose to remember it. On Android, connection details are stored on the device using the Android keystore. They are not synced to other devices or sent to our servers.
Purchases
Purchases on this website are handled by FastSpring. Purchases in the App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store are handled by those stores. When you buy through Google Play, the purchase token is sent to our server once to verify the purchase and is not stored.
Updates
Some Mac apps check on startup whether they are the latest version. The check sends only the current app version and returns only the latest available version.
We collect your email address only when you choose to provide it, for example on a download page, in the app's welcome screen, or when subscribing to updates. If you do, we may send a short series of product tips, release notes and occasional updates. Email is delivered through Resend, and addresses are stored in our own database and not shared with third parties. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can email kyle@hankinsoft.com to be removed.
